So last night I get home and thing to myself... I'm going to burn a copy of MS Vista so I can install it on my home pc... I go downstairs, grab a DVD-R, run back up to my laptop, slap the disc in, fire up MyDVD Plus and find that Windows is no longer recognizing my DVD burner, or my Virtual CD drive for that matter. Come to find out the drivers are just corrupted, no big deal right? Just reinstall the drivers... nope!
So I search online for new drivers, nothing, start searching for reasons why this happens and stumbled upon some article about UpperLimit and LowerLimit settings in the registry. Follow some stupid MS KnowledgeBase article and get my CD drive back (still won't work in MyDVD tho) but now my friggin' wireless isn't work.... WTF?! What do computers have against me?

TechConnect 2 is coming
I have begun working again on TechConnect. Our offline part searching applicaton designed for use by parts technicians while out on the road. TechConnect 2 should be much faster and robust than the initial pre-release that was due out last June.
TechConnect hit a snag in the road last year when my company lost three (of our four) developers in the course of a month. I put TechConnect to the side and took over our main product, DealerNet4 which had only been released for live use for approximately 2 weeks at the time.

.NET Bootcamp
It's been decided, I will be attending .NET Bootcamp in Austin, TX on Jan 29-Feb 1. Looks to be a pretty all around complete discussion about everything .NET. I'll be flying down the night of Jan 28.
